This message hangs on the wall of my office as a constant reminder of how I want to live my life. When I do the dishes, when I pay the bills, when I have ask my kids for the 10th time to clean up their mess, and especially when I am involved in any kind of healing work. I have found that no matter what I am doing, if I do it with love in my heart, it makes all the difference for me and everyone else.
There are lots of things that are easy to do with love, but what about the hard things? When I start to yell at my kids, I try to shift right away to explaining with empathy and love why I am upset. When I am so bored folding the laundry, I try to remember who I am doing it for. When someone is seemingly unkind to me, I try to wonder what they must have been through and that helps me have empathy and send them love.
But, one key is that the love needs to be unconditional, not needy and with strings attached. It needs to be given freely, expecting nothing in return.
Unconditional Love is the most powerful force in the universe and when you add this force to anything you do, it will make that thing more powerful.
